Depending on your slant or I suppose your age, and if you're reading this then you're probably a little bit bias as you'll clearly be a lover of the fountain pen, but humour me for a while as we pose the questions, Do Fountain Pens Help you Learn?
Some say...
It helps to develop fine motor skills and encourages a more relaxed and
fluent hand writing style. It is also possible to write much faster with
a fountain pen because it needs less pressure than a pencil or a
ballpoint pen. However it takes a long time to learn it and if teachers
try to hurry the process it can become a big frustration for a child.
So if using a fountain pen encourages better handwriting in general, what does that mean?
I suppose it does help if you can read your own handwriting...
More thoughts on this soon...

Imperial Matte Black Sailor...
Colours: Matt satinised black resin with Titainium Ion plated nib and accents
Materials: Resin
Special features: Completely black pen
Filling system: Converter & Cartridge type
Nib availability: Available with F,M and B nib grades
Fountain Pen Dimensions: Length Capped - 129mm, Weight - 21.6gms
An elegant new edition to our Sailor Pens range is the Imperial Matte Black, if this pen was a superhero it would be Batman... It comes in its all black sleek apparell and rhuthenium trim making it one of the most distinctive pens that Sailor has made, even the nib has a sleek black ion plated finish, and it looks fantastic, as you can see above!
As with most Sailors it comes with their standard cartridge/ converter design meaning you you fill from a bottle or use cartridges, and as per usual, you get 2 cartridges and the converter supplied, aren't they nice to us...
It also comes in a rather swanky carbofine presentation box, and a bottle of Sailor Black Ink.
Our verdict, one of the best Sailor pens around!

What Should I Get Him?
Only introduced this year, the Alchemix Range from Caran D'Ache, it's a brilliant little range with some excellent colours, including Carbon Fibre - if there's one sure way of making something look cool, it's ensuring you can see the carbon fibre weave pattern.
If you're a fan of Onoto then you'll have been waiting an age (since the 1950's) for them to bring back the plunger filler, with a massive ink capacity of 3ml, and available in the coveted demonstrator design it's an extraordinary piece of craftsmanship.
You're probably sick of us harping on about the Visconti Homo Sapiens, but it really is that good!
